It's May! It's May! The lusty month of May! That lovely month when ev'ryone goes Blissfully astray!

"What is so sweet and dear
As a prosperous morn in May,
The confident prime of the day,
And the dauntless youth of the year,
When nothing that asks for bliss,
Asking aright, is denied,
And half of the world a bridegroom is,
And half of the world a bride?"
-  William Watson, Ode in May, 1880

“For Love shall cancel the ancient wrong
and conquer the ancient rage,
Redeem with his tears the memoried sorrow
that sullied a bygone age.”

                                  Sarojini Naidu

"The month of May was come, when every lusty heart beginneth to blossom, and to bring forth fruit; for like as herbs and trees bring forth fruit and flourish in May, in likewise every lusty heart that is in any manner a lover, springeth and flourisheth in lusty deeds.  For it giveth unto all lovers courage, that lusty month of May."
-  Sir Thomas Malory, Le Morte d'Arthur

"A little Madness in the Spring
Is wholesome even for the King."
-  Emily Dickinson

"The name for the month of 'May' has been believed to derive from 'Maia', who was revered as the Roman 'Goddess of Springtime, of Growth and Increase', and the mother of 'Mercury', the winged messenger of the Gods."

"The fair maid who, the first of May
Goes to the fields at break of day
And washes in dew from the hawthorn tree
Will ever after handsome be."
-  Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme

"Every year, back comes Spring, with nasty little birds yapping their fool heads off and the ground all mucked up with plants."
Dorothy Parker

I am personally very fond of May for several reasons, The two most important ones being that it is the month in which two of my favorite people were born : my godson Casey and my stepson Flynn.
Casey & Lucy
Flynn & Jack

They are both Taurus's and both share the distinction of being unusually superb human beings. Happy Birthday, Casey dear! Happy Birthday Flynn my love!

"Among the changing months, May stands confest
The sweetest, and in fairest colors dressed."
-  James Thomson, On May
